Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball Remains Undefeated in Area Play

The Hornets defended their home court last night as they moved to 4-0 in Area Volleyball action last night. The Hornets hosted Riverdale and North Clayton. The Hornets look to improve on their overall record as they face off versus Stockbridge tomorrow on the road in non-area action. The Hornets are rolling on a 4 game winning streak and feel confident as they get more games under their belt.  Assistant coach Brandon Hughley was very excited about how the girls are coming together. “They are figuring some things out and playing together as a team, we as a coaching staff are extremely proud of them”, Hughley stated after the matches. Figuring it out is something Hampton had to do on Tuesday in their match against Riverdale, narrowly escaping with 25-21 and 25-22 scores to win. North Clayton pushed the Hornets even more forcing a third and deciding game to determine a victor. Hampton scored a victory winning the first match 25-17,losing the second match 25-17, and 15-9. The Hornets will resume area play next week on the road with McDonough High and Area favorite and rival Luella.
